Earth Day Art Competition
On the occasion of Earth Day, the Round Square Student Committee of Daly College organized an Art Competition for students of Classes 7 and 8. The event was held under the inspiring theme "Nature Through the Eyes of Students". We began the activity under the shade of one of the oldest Banyan trees on our campus—a setting that couldn’t have been more perfect for reflecting on our connection with nature.
Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their creativity and artistic talents through a variety of nature-inspired artworks. From vibrant landscapes to thought-provoking depictions of environmental challenges, the young artists expressed their unique perspectives and deep connection with nature.
The competition served not only as a platform for artistic expression but also as a meaningful reminder of our responsibility to protect the planet. The event was a great success, highlighting the power of student voices and creativity in making a positive impact on Earth Day.

The event concluded with an enriching tour of the Scientech facility, where students observed the making of seed bombs and explored a wide variety of exotic and traditional tree species, deepening their appreciation for biodiversity.

Fundraising at DC is student driven and operated through a cumulative effort of
students and teachers. Fundraising Committee meets for one hour per month but the commitment
by students is greater than that. These meetings allow for brainstorming of fundraising ideas,
establishing a concept and for students to take responsibility for the overall operation. The
plans and organisation developed for a particular fundraiser are carefully documented so that
they may be used by other committees in the future as a proforma.
The Round Square Student Committee organized Casual Wear Day, Traditional Attire Day and RS Fete to raise funds for various Community Service Programmes at Daly College.
