Leadership Training
We are planning to train students for leadership under two phases
Phase 1 : Training in Communication Skills (at the Daly College Campus) 8 to 10 hrs. from July 24 to August end twice a week with Mrs. Rajni Nagu after lunch.
Phase 2 : At Punjapura (Flame of the Forest) : Team Building and Leadership Development through outbound activities
Classes : XI and XII
Maximum no. : 30 students
Registration fee : Rs. 6000/- per students
(transport charges extra, Approx. Rs. 300/-)
Duration : 4 days 3 nights for outbound activities
Dates : September 10 to September 13, 2010
Proposed Activities
The programme would be developed by Mr. Sujay Madhok on the following guidelines:
- Problem Solving Skill development: This skill will be imparted to the students through various management games and live problem solving method simulations where interactive sessions between the trainer and students will be conducted followed by a debriefing session.
- Out door survival skill development: Being in the outdoors is actually taking the first step towards such a training. This activity would involve tent pitching, living off the jungle techniques like fishing, trap your food and food gathering information, how to start a fire etc…….
- Decision making simulations: Putting the students into situations where they would have to take calculated risks and assess current situations and make future judgments for the entire team.
Some of the areas which will be emphasized on are:
Team Building, Management and Leadership Development, Motivation, Confidence Building, Enhancing Assertiveness, Interpersonal Skills, Managing Stress , Creative Thinking
Both the phases are compulsory. A certificate will bee awarded after the completion of both the phases.
